travel zen on tuesday - moonrise in zambales, philippines

Interesting fact:

That space between the grass in the foreground and the trees in the background is not a river -- well, it used to be one. But, the eruption of Mount Pinatubo in 1991 and the resulting mud and debris flow that came through when it rained, turned the river into a solid surface (or, as the locals call it, lahar). The government is taking pains to reclaim the river.

Have you been to Zambales? If so, we'd love to hear about your experience.
