travel zen on friday: riga, latvia

A view of Riga Latvia. Lots of history here, such as:

  • the Empire State Building-like edifice was commissioned by Stalin
  • one of the biggest markets in Europe is located in those repurposed German Zeppelin hangars,\
  • behind-ish the market is the Holocaust Museum (located in an area that used to be a ghetto), and 
  • that big tower was built by the Soviets
