It is shockingly touristy but still impressive to see. The best place to get a nice full view of the Eiffel Tower is from the Trocadero.

eat, drink and be merry! those are certainly words to live by. i'm rarely as happy as when i'm enjoying good food and drink. and if i'm doing that while traveling - even better!
